Brushing in the night

Most bacteria in the mouth is anaerobic ( which live in absence of Oxygen. They can not survive in presence of oxygen.

Dr.Hari

Tooth decay and gum infections are as a result of putrification of food (decay of food) by the above bacteria and formation of acids that dissolves tooth calcium material. This bacteria shown its activity in absence of oxygen.

During day time, we will be eating, drinking, speaking, talking etc making mouth to open leading to exposure of mouth to oxygen. Hence, the bacteria cannot show its activity.

During night at sleep the mouth will be kept closed. In this condition ( non availability of oxygen) the oral bacteria become active and grow in millions and start showing its activity on food particles left in the mouth ( due to non-brushing). If brushing is done and food particles are removed, there is no food for the bacteria to show its activity. Hence, tooth decay and gum infections are nill.

HENCE NIGHT BRUSHING WILL KEEP THE DENTIST AWAY!!
